Nak Makan sponsors 10,000 meals during Ramadan

Nominations for deserving recipients are open from now until the end of Ramadan on 23 May 2020.

Nak Makan, a new food service platform under Nak Beli, an e-commerce marketplace powered by MYE.G. Services Berhad (MYEG) is sponsoring 10,000 meals this Ramadan under the NAK MAKAN #KitaShare corporate social responsibility programme.

Nak Makan, a new online food service platform recently launched by MY E.G. Services Berhad (MyEG), is sponsoring 10,000 meals this Ramadan under the Nak Makan #KitaShare corporate social responsibility programme.

Members of the public can help spread joy during this challenging period by nominating a deserving individual or charity organisation within the Klang Valley to receive the sponsored meal.

The recipient may be personally affected by the Movement Control Order, or perhaps a frontliner who would appreciate a cooked meal for their family members, or even a friend who is facing a tough time and needs a lending hand.

Nominations for deserving recipients are open from now until the end of Ramadan on 23 May 2020.

“To nominate a deserving recipient, just visit the Nak Beli Twitter, Instagram or Facebook account and tag the nominated recipient along with the hashtags #NakMakan and #KitaShare. Our team will be contacting the recipient for their details and arrange for the special delivery in collaboration with our partner, MrSpeedy,” MyEG said in a statement.

“Additionally, members of the public can also donate a meal through the platform. The donor can choose whom they wish to buy the meal for by just adding the recipients’ social media handle during checkout,” MyEG added.

The Nak Makan site, www.nakmakan.com.my went live on 23 April 2020 for customers to place food orders daily from vendors in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya between 10am to 6pm until the end of the fasting month.

Unlike other food platforms, Nak Makan allows customers to place multiple orders from different vendors in the same transaction, so that customers can receive and enjoy a variety of meals at the same time. Customers also have the option to place a pre-order on the site in advance.
