Love Our Frontliners initiative launched

The Love Our Frontliners initiative to reward frontline heroes for their life-saving role.

Domino’s Pizza Malaysia has partnered with Sime Darby Motors to kick off the Love Our Frontliners initiative.

Through the partnership, Domino’s will contribute 4,200 pizzas to be delivered by Sime Darby Motors, instead of Domino’s delivery riders.

Sime Darby Motors vehicles will be transporting the pizzas to the frontliners over a period of two weeks.

The initiative aims to uplift the spirits of medical frontliners amid the increasingly challenging Covid-19 situation in the country.

The first delivery of 400 pizzas was to the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) quarantine and treatment centre, where 1,400 frontliners tend to over 3,000 patients.

Domino’s Pizza Malaysia chief executive officer Shamsul Amree expressed gratitude to all medical frontliners for their heroic stand to save lives during this difficult times.

“We are grateful to all our frontliners as they stand fearless to save lives and show strong courage. They truly are our heroes. We could not imagine our life without their sacrifice and contribution. We have heard and read stories of their tragedies and triumphs in this fight.

“As frontliners’ themselves, our Abang and Kakak Domino’s understand the struggle. We don’t take this responsibility for granted. From one frontliner to another, we appreciate all your hard work and perseverance. Your courage is inspiring to us to keep fighting,” said Shamsul.

The partnership will see a contribution of 4,200 Domino’s pizzas to frontliners in Covid-19-designated hospitals in Klang Valley.

Deliveries will also be sent to other Covid-19-designated hospitals within the Klang Valley, including Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Selayang, Hospital Serdang, Hospital Kajang, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Ampang Hospital, Hospital Canselor, University Malaya Medical Centre, MSU Medical Centre and Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah.

Selected frontliners will enjoy a heartwarming experience of being chauffeur-driven in Sime Darby Motors luxury vehicles to spread happiness to the frontliners and their families. The special treat will also include all expenses paid grocery shopping treats.

Sime Darby Motors managing director of retail and distribution for Malaysia Jeffrey Gan said the collaboration strives to provide comfort to the brave frontliners.

“Sime Darby Motors is pleased to reward selected frontliners and help them take a break for themselves with chauffeur-driven rides from our stable of brands. They could wind down and enjoy a safe journey to visit and reunite with their loved ones whom they have not seen for a long period of time. We are honored to take care of our frontliners’ grocery trips in our specially commissioned vehicles.

“We have seen our frontliners’ determination, perseverance and effort to take care of Covid-19 patients. That has been very honorable. We would like to send our love and thanks to our frontliners who have been fighting the battle for the past year and a half. We hope that all of us can be united in this fight,” said Gan.
