Shell LiveWIRE seeks entrepreneurs with ideas

Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia is calling for entrepreneurs with ideas that can make a difference in environmental sustainability, social impact, and business innovation.

Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia, an entrepreneurship program launched in 2015, is dedicated to engaging and supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in Malaysia.

The program offers workshops and competitions designed to help entrepreneurs develop their business ideas, refine their business models, and equip them with the skills needed to succeed.

With a focus on environmental sustainability, social impact, and business innovation, Shell is actively seeking out entrepreneurs who have the potential to drive positive change and make a difference in these areas.

The program will be held in Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Klang Valley, providing participants with valuable opportunities to grow their businesses.

Shell LiveWIRE: Empowering entrepreneurs

Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia aims to empower entrepreneurs by offering seed grants and mentorship to support the growth of their businesses.

Five winners from each state, namely Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Klang Valley will be awarded RM10,000 in seed grants. These winners will then have the opportunity to compete at the national level, where five national winners will stand a chance to win an additional RM30,000.

Beyond financial support, the winners will receive mentorship and guidance from Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia facilitators for the next three years, ensuring they have the necessary support to kickstart and develop their businesses.

Additionally, the winners will also have the potential to be absorbed into Shell’s supply chain and explore partnership opportunities with Shell retailers.

Collaborating with Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS)

In Sarawak, Shell LiveWIRE partners with Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS), providing participants with unique opportunities and additional benefits.

Winners of the Sarawak Shell LiveWIRE grant will gain one-year access to TEGAS Digital Village in Kuching and TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub in Bintulu and Miri, offering valuable resources and support for their entrepreneurial journey.

In addition to the grant provided by Shell LiveWIRE, each winner will receive an extra RM5,000 from TEGAS, further boosting their financial support and prospects for success.

Entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and a passion for driving environmental sustainability, social impact, and business innovation are encouraged to participate in Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia.

The closing dates for participation vary across locations, with Sarawak closing on July 14, 2023, Sabah on July 28, 2023, and Peninsular Malaysia on August 11, 2023.
