During the event, Mayor Dato’ Rumaizi emphasized the importance of local representation and understanding the needs and aspirations of residents. With JPP members hailing from the community, their close proximity to the people they serve ensures better insight into the challenges faced by residents in their respective areas.

The appointment of AO officers complements this by streamlining communication channels and expediting issue resolution between Council Members and the appropriate departments.

The appointment of JPP members and AO officers signals the commitment of the Ipoh City Council to engage residents actively and provide meaningful solutions to the issues they face.

AO officers play a crucial role in coordinating internal matters raised by Council Members within the Ipoh City Council. Their responsibilities include facilitating efficient communication between Council Members and relevant departments, and ensuring that raised issues are promptly addressed.

This streamlined approach enables a faster resolution process, benefiting residents by expediting necessary actions.

On the other hand, JPP members assist Council Members in field tasks, leveraging their familiarity with the local communities and their specific needs. By actively engaging with residents and acting as representatives, JPP members bridge the gap between the Council and the community.

Their on-the-ground involvement enables a more accurate understanding of local challenges, enabling the Council to provide targeted and effective solutions.

Additionally, to optimize the grievance redressal process, a comprehensive briefing on the MyAduan MBI system was provided to both JPP members and AO officers. This system aims to simplify the submission of complaints from residents within their respective zones to the Ipoh City Council, streamlining the process and ensuring that concerns are promptly addressed.

By fostering collaboration between stakeholders and employing efficient communication channels, the Ipoh City Council aims to achieve its vision of “IPOH BESTARI SEJAHTERA,” ensuring the well-being and prosperity of the residents it serves.
