Tokio Marine Life renews partnership with Make-A-Wish

Tokio Marine Life Malaysia celebrates its 75th anniversary by renewing its collaboration with Make-A-Wish Malaysia, organizing movie experiences for children with critical illnesses to provide a much-needed respite.

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Tokio Marine Life Malaysia (TMLM) has rekindled its alliance with Make-A-Wish Malaysia, resuming its support for children battling critical illnesses.

The initiative saw the organization arranging two exclusive movie outings at Sunway Pyramid, Bandar Sunway, and AEON Mall Kinta City, Ipoh, offering a refreshing escape from medical routines for these young fighters.

This partnership revival follows a three-year hiatus, as TMLM recommits to its longstanding collaboration with Make-A-Wish Malaysia

Tokio Marine Life addressing childhood illnesses

Statistics from the Global Burden of Disease Study reveal a sobering fact: approximately one million individuals below the age of 20 succumb to non-communicable illnesses (NCDs) annually. Conditions like type 1 diabetes, cancer, congenital and rheumatic heart diseases, sickle cell disease, and asthma contribute to this grim figure.

However, the curative potential for children’s illnesses is significantly higher than that of most adult diseases. With up to 60% of afflicted children capable of complete recovery, the imperative to safeguard their well-being and protect them from these ailments is evident.
