The McMillan Global Woods Awards 2023, a prestigious event celebrating excellence across various industries, recently announced the recognition of 30 business visionaries from around the world.
Among the esteemed honourees were renowned Malaysian actor and singer, Alvin Chong; Malaysian supermodel and business mogul Amber Chia; Hong Kong actress and influencer, Gine Lin Siu Kiu.
Joining he above honourees are award-winning Hong Kong actress Wiyona Yeung; the thunderous powerful drummer, Eric Lau; and visionary Australian billionaire magnate, Georgina Hope Rinehart.
A night of excellence and philanthropy
Organised by McMillan Woods Global (MCMWG) and held at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the event brought together over six hundred industry leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, artists, and philanthropists.
The highlight of the evening was when McM Cares, a philanthropic programme under MCMWG, made a generous RM300,000 donation to the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM). This act of philanthropy highlighted the importance of corporate social responsibility and the positive impact organisations can have on their communities.
Dato’ Seri Dr. Raymond Liew, President & Founder of MCMWG, emphasised the significance of giving back, stating, “The McMillan Global Woods Awards 2023 is a celebration of excellence and a reminder that success is not just about personal achievement but also about leaving a positive mark on the world.”
Awards to celebrate decade of excellence
This year marked the 10th Anniversary of the McMillan Global Awards, celebrated with the new tagline ‘Authenticity, Authoritative, Aspiration.’ Dato’ Seri Dr. Raymond Liew highlighted the enduring impact of the awards, reinforcing the mission to honour excellence and innovation while inspiring others to excel in their fields.
Rachel Hsu Xin, Organising Chairman of McM Global Awards 2023, pointed out that the rigorous nomination and evaluation process ensures awardees are selected based on merit and the transformative nature of their contributions.
The categories included McM Icons, McM Masters, and McM Rising Stars, acknowledging outstanding personalities, established business entrepreneurs, and thriving young talents, respectively.
Moving forward, MCMWG aims to continue being a source of inspiration for rising industry players and a catalyst for emerging business potentials to foster global industry growth in the future.
