The Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) Smart Tram, fuelled by hydrogen fuel cells and spearheading the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project, clinched the prestigious title of ‘Low Carbon Transport Project of the Year’ at the Enlit Asia annual conference in Jakarta.
Recognising the innovation’s contribution to efficient and eco-friendly mobility solutions, the award adds a significant feather to the cap of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), the parent company of Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd.
The accolade is a nod to Sarawak’s commitment, led by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, towards a sustainable future, pioneering renewable hydrogen initiatives and carbon emission reduction.
