Dusit Hotels and Resorts has entered into a strategic partnership with Malaysian property developer Gamuda Land to manage ASAI Gamuda Cove, Dusit’s premier hotel venture in Malaysia.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both companies, combining Dusit’s renowned hospitality expertise with Gamuda Land‘s innovative approach to sustainable property development.
The holistic approach of Gamuda Cove
Scheduled to open its doors in the first quarter of 2026, ASAI Gamuda Cove will be located adjacent to the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands within Gamuda Cove. This development, by Gamuda Land, not only introduces Dusit to the Malaysian hospitality scene but also represents Gamuda Land’s inaugural foray into hotel development.
The holistic approach of Gamuda Cove extends beyond the hotel, encompassing residential and commercial areas. Eco-conscious tourists will find attractions like the SplashMania Waterpark and Discovery Park designed with sustainability and a low carbon footprint in mind.
Accessibility is a key feature of ASAI Gamuda Cove, strategically positioned just a 20-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur airport and a 40-minute drive from the city centre. The convenience factor is further enhanced by Gamuda Cove’s innovative e-tram network, a pioneering initiative in Malaysia.
This eco-friendly mode of transportation will seamlessly connect guests to various points of interest within the development, contributing to a reduction in the use of motorised vehicles and promoting a lower carbon footprint.
ASAI Gamuda Cove fostering responsible tourism
Gamuda Cove and ASAI Gamuda Cove aim to go beyond providing accommodation by fostering responsible tourism. The hotel plans to organise regular community-based activities and events, offering guests an authentic taste of local culture and experiences.
This initiative aligns with the partners’ shared commitment to creating interconnected spaces where living, working, and recreational experiences seamlessly integrate.
Eusoffe Chua, Chief Commercial Officer of Gamuda Land, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “In our collaboration with Dusit, we are thrilled to align with a strategic partner that shares our unwavering commitment to creating interconnected spaces where everyone can seamlessly integrate their living, working and recreational experiences.”
Gilles Cretallaz, Chief Operating Officer of Dusit International, commented on the partnership, saying, “With its stunning location and sustainable credentials, Gamuda Cove perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the ASAI brand.
We look forward to delivering a unique and unforgettable hotel experience that immerses guests in the diverse cultural tapestry of Malaysia and the natural beauty of the wetlands, all while contributing enduring value to our esteemed partners and the community we serve.”
The collaboration between Dusit and Gamuda Land not only introduces a new player to Malaysia’s hospitality landscape but also sets the stage for a hotel that prioritises sustainability, cultural immersion, and community engagement.
