AirAsia X (AAX) has officially announced the resumption of its services from Kuala Lumpur to Xi’An, re-establishing the air link between Malaysia and this historically significant Chinese city.
Commencing on 4 April 2024, this move reflects AAX’s commitment to expanding its presence in China and supporting the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations.
Xi’An beckons travellers with history & cultural delights
Travellers can once again explore Xi’An, the capital of Shaanxi Province, and one of China’s four Great Ancient Capitals.
Known as the starting point of the Silk Road, Xi’An boasts thousands of years of Chinese heritage and history.
The city offers diverse experiences, from the famed Terracotta warriors of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, to the architectural wonders of the Great Wild Goose Pagoda and the cultural richness of the Muslim Quarter.
This resumption involves three weekly flights, showcasing AAX’s commitment to strengthening its presence in China.
Xi’An becomes the fifth destination in China served by AAX, and notably, AAX stands as the exclusive airline offering direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Xi’An.
Promotional fares from RM469 one-way
AAX aims to contribute to the diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China through tourism, aligning with Malaysia and China’s visa-free initiatives.
In celebration of the service resumption, AAX is offering promotional fares starting from RM469 one-way. T
he promotional fares are open for booking from today until 28 January 2024, covering the travel period from 4 April 2024 to 26 October 2024.
Additionally, AirAsia provides a special offer of 20kg free baggage allowance for passengers booking flights between 22 January 2024 and 31 January 2024, enhancing the value proposition for travellers on this route.
