The Moomoo Penang store opened on 23 October at Queensbay Mall. It is the digital investment platform’s first store in northern Malaysia.
It is also the fourth Moomoo Malaysia store in the country. Visitors can get in-person guidance on investing and financial markets.
Here is what the store offers, who attended the opening and what the company plans next.
What the store offers

The store sits on the ground floor of Queensbay Mall, at Lot 132-135. It will offer hands-on demos of Moomoo’s AI-powered investment tools.
Staff will also help customers sign up. The company has planned workshops with partners too.
Moomoo Malaysia chief executive Dennis Jee said the store gives people a place to learn about investing. They can try the tools and ask for help in person.
Jee said Penangites curious about investing should have “a place to walk in, ask questions”. He added that the store should help them “build the confidence to take their first step”.
The AI tools include Flash, Reason and Expert modes. Each suits a different level of research depth, the company said.
At MooFest Malaysia 2026, Moomoo said more than 58,000 Malaysians used its AI features in the previous month. It said they made up 14.5% of its active funded users. These figures come from the company, and we could not verify them.
Who attended the opening

Moomoo SEA chief marketing and growth officer Erika Chiang attended the opening. So did Jee and the company’s brand ambassador, Datuk Nicol David.
Chiang said Penang marks an important step beyond the Klang Valley. She said Moomoo had met local investors through its events.
The new store lets the firm “build on these connections and strengthen our ties with the Penang community”, she said.
David said returning to Penang for the opening was meaningful because of the state’s role in shaping her. “Investing, like squash, isn’t about getting everything right from day one,” she said.
“It is about showing up, putting in the work and trusting that the fundamentals will carry you,” she added. She hopes the Moomoo Penang store will inspire more Penangites to take their first steps.
Schools, history and next steps

The opening builds on Moomoo’s partnership with the Nicol David Organisation. The company pledged RM100,000 for its Smart Mooves programme.
The programme runs in 20 public secondary schools in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. It aims to help underserved students through sport, financial education and community work. See our report on Moomoo’s two million downloads and a youth education partnership.
Moomoo entered the Malaysian market in 2023, when it launched in Malaysia. Its first physical store in Southeast Asia opened at KL Eco City in August 2025.
Outlets at 1 Utama and Pavilion Bukit Jalil followed in April 2026. The Penang outlet is the fourth.
The company said it plans more expansion across the country. It wants to blend its digital services with in-person guidance and investor education. The stores add a place to meet staff face to face, next to the online platform.
