The Tesla Cybercab Penang showcase opens on 13 November at Gurney Plaza. Tesla’s driverless two-seater will be on display until 22 November.
It is the last stop of a Malaysian tour that began at Mid Valley Megamall on 29 October. Visitors can also join guided walkthroughs, and places are limited.
Here are the dates, how to take part and what the Tesla Cybercab Penang visit does not include.
Tesla Cybercab tour dates and the Penang stop

Tesla Malaysia started at Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur. The Cybercab was shown there from 29 October to 1 November.
Selangor was next. Sunway Square Mall hosts it from 3 to 9 November. Pavilion Damansara Heights in Kuala Lumpur follows on 10 and 11 November.
Penang gets the final leg. Gurney Plaza hosts the Cybercab from 13 to 22 November, which is ten days.
Overall, the tour covers 25 days across four malls. Penang is the only stop outside the Klang Valley.
The venue is Gurney Plaza on Gurney Drive in George Town. Visitors in Penang can therefore choose among several walkthrough times each day.
However, the reports give no opening times, so check with the mall or Tesla Malaysia first.
Meanwhile, the visit fits a busy month in the state. Penang has PENtastic Startup Month and a new mall, The Waterfront Shoppes, now open.
Guided walkthrough and mystery gifts

Tesla specialists lead a guided walkthrough every hour at each stop. It covers the design, the cabin and the technology.
Because places are limited, early registration is encouraged. Visitors sign up through Tesla Malaysia’s event website.
In addition, visitors get a mystery gift if they finish a walkthrough or a test drive, while stocks last. The test drive is for the Model 3, Model Y or Model Y L.
Meanwhile, the Cybercab is a two-seater with no steering wheel, pedals or side mirrors. Tesla says it builds on technology from its Model 3 and Model Y.
For example, it includes full self-driving hardware, vehicle-to-app connectivity and over-the-air updates.
One report calls the cabin a mobile living room. Another says the car is meant for Tesla’s Robotaxi service.
Overall, places are limited, so early sign-up matters. Walkthroughs run hourly, so there is no single start time.
What the showcase does not cover

One report calls it a showcase and not a local commercial launch.
So far, the reports give no price, specifications or production date for the Cybercab. For now, they do not say whether visitors can ride in it.
On charging, Tesla says Malaysia has 21 Supercharger sites with 92 chargers. It plans six more by the end of 2026, including one in Penang.
In addition, the network supports cross-border travel between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Tesla also lists 18 destination charging locations with 78 wall connectors.
Meanwhile, the reports mention financing and trade-in offers for selected models. However, they give no dates or terms.
More than 13,000 Malaysian households have a home charger, according to the same figures.
In short, the Penang stop is a chance to see the car up close. Register early and confirm the hours before you travel.
