Motorists heading to the KL International Airport (KLIA) should take note of a traffic diversion to-and-from the KLIA highway at the 11km stretch.
The diversion will be in two phases to facilitate construction works involving the ‘portal frame’ and ‘launching beam’ for the KLIA2 project.
In a statement yesterday, Malaysia Airports said the first diversion would be at 11pm on Nov 3, till 6am, the following day.
The second will be from Nov 19-24, from 11pm to 6am.
Although the diversion was minor, it said it had planned the time period during non-peak hours for flights at KLIA to minimise its impact.
“However, due to the recent heavy downpour, motorists are advised to slow down when approaching the affected areas.
“Passengers who travel on these dates are advised to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations when using the said area during the particular time,” it said.
Malaysia Airports has also advised passengers to use ERL as an alternative transportation to reach KLIA.
