Kaspersky Safe Kids recognized for its ability to ensure safe browsing for children

Kaspersky Safe Kids, a parental monitoring system, has been recognized as having a comprehensive split of features necessary to protect children across desktop and mobile devices.

The test performed by AV-TEST noted a high level of website category detection and the ability to manage such access, across devices using Android, Windows and iOS.

The test results also showed a reliable level of restriction to inappropriate web pages, which provides safe browsing for kids.

AV-Test test research director David Walkiewicz the results were based on its performance in 2021. He added the organization tested Kaspersky Safe Kids for the sixth time which had earned it the certification.

“The Parental Control by Kaspersky is steadily improving every year it is evaluated. New protection features are extended and existing ones are improved. It provides very comprehensive protection and can provide parents with some confidence in letting their kids online, as well as providing some safeguards in the offline world,” David said.

Kaspersky Safe Kids solution has been certified for its ability to protect children from dangers on the internet.

According to AV-TEST, Kaspersky Safe Kids has a high level of website protection as it had blocked an overall average of 90% of potentially inappropriate links on Windows and 85% on Android.

The highest result among the blocked content categories was received in “Adult content” with 100% of links were detected and blocked in Windows. Kaspersky Safe Kids blocks websites from 14 different categories across 15 languages.

The Application Control in Kaspersky Safe Kids lets parents block apps by category on Android and Windows while this option works by using the age criteria set up in the App Store on iOS devices.

These helps parents limit access to all or a specific social media apps and restrict the number of times children can use it.

Some of its noteworthy features include the search engine monitoring that ensures only appropriate content can be accessed online; geo-fencing and location tracking of the child’s mobile gadget. Other important features are device battery monitoring and low-battery alerts; time and schedule restrictions to foster a balanced amount of device use.

Kaspersky Safe Kids also has a comprehensive and informative reporting feature. It shows detailed search results and activity across social media. It can highlight the web content visited or if there has been any attempt to evade the parental control app.

Such reports can help parents effectively track their kids’ digital activity, as well as helping to better understand their hobbies and interests.

Parents are turning to parental control apps to keep their children’s digital experience safe and secure as children are using devices from a very early age to access the Internet.

These apps can help to protect kids from inappropriate content on the web while regulating the time spent on devices. It can even show the child’s physical location, if their gadget has a tracking app installed.
