Claudia and Distilled Sounds: A global music experience

Malaysian singer-songwriter Claudia has taken centre stage in Jameson’s Distilled Sounds programme, joining an international lineup of artists to create new music.

The event, which took place at the Sound Distillery in Ireland, connected artists from around the world, encouraging collaboration and cultural exchange.

The initiative culminated in fresh tracks, including a collaboration between Claudia and Papua New Guinean-born artist Kaiit.

“Jameson Distilled Sounds introduced me to so many talented artists from across the world.

I’ve learnt so much about their cultures and global sounds, which influenced my new track with Kaiit,” said Claudia, reflecting on the transformative experience.

Global collaboration at the Sound Distillery

The Distilled Sounds programme, hosted by Jameson in August, featured workshops, performances, and collaborative sessions with music industry leaders.

Grammy-winning artist Anderson .Paak, Jameson’s Music Distiller, led the sessions, offering inspiration and insights to the participating artists.

The event also included workshops guided by music partners NTS and Fender, giving artists the chance to hone their skills in an immersive environment.

Late-night rehearsals and informal jam sessions kept the creative energy flowing, with participants drawing inspiration from each other.

Artists from all over the world—including L’Rain (USA), Shekhinah (South Africa), and Branko (Portugal)—were paired up to collaborate on new tracks.

Each collaboration showcased the diversity of global music, blending genres, styles, and sounds.

Claudia’s collaboration and Distilled Sounds’ impact

For Claudia, the collaboration with Kaiit was a highlight of the Distilled Sounds programme.

Together, they created the track “Draw Me,” blending influences from their respective cultures and backgrounds.

This collaboration is part of Jameson’s wider initiative to bring artists together through music, transcending physical and cultural borders.

Commenting on the impact of the programme, Branko said, “The whole Jameson Distilled Sounds experience really put different worlds together in a beautiful way.”

Ian Hooper, who teamed up with Branko for “Go Back,” added, “I would have never gone down the path to make a beat like that, but it was fantastic.”
