The KL International AV Show (KLIAVS) 2024, held from 25-27 October at The Gardens Hotel, Mid-Valley, KL, marked its 30th anniversary with a dynamic showcase that drew audio and video enthusiasts from across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The milestone event celebrated three decades of audiovisual innovation, captivating attendees with immersive experiences and state-of-the-art technology.

Organized by 3dot Events Sdn Bhd, this year’s show was the largest and most comprehensive in KLIAVS history, featuring over 150 global brands and a wide array of new, high-end audiovisual equipment. From home theatre systems to advanced Hi-Fi setups, the exhibition reflected the evolving industry landscape and the show’s expanding role in the AV sector.

Dick Tan: The vision behind KLIAVS’ legacy

KLIAVS owes much of its success to its Chairman and Organizer, Dick Tan, who has been instrumental in building it into one of Southeast Asia’s leading audiovisual exhibitions. Additionally, TCL Electronics introduced attendees to the world’s largest QD Mini LED TV at a staggering 155 inches, an innovation in TV display technology that drew much excitement.

Attendees also had the chance to meet and network with leading industry figures, including Ilias Koutromanos from Estelon, Mads Klifoth of Audiovector, and Adam Shaw-Cotterill from AudioQuest, creating valuable opportunities for enthusiasts to engage with the minds behind the technology they admire.
