LRT suffers another technical glitch

Rangkaian Pengangkutan Integrasi Deras (Rapid KL) LRT coach suffered another technical glitch today in between of Dang Wangi station and Masjid Jamek station at 9.30am.

Malaysiakini staff, Azlan Zamhari who was traveling from Ampang  to Bangsar in that train said that there was sudden braking before the train stopped sporadically after leaving the Dang Wangi station and before reaching the Masjid Jamek station.

Azlan also said that a train operator stationed in the train, later operated the train manually. She constantly received instructions through her walkie-talkie.

Upon arrival at the Masjid Jamek station, two more LRT personnel believed to be technicians  came on board and rectified the glitch.

The passengers were not asked to disembark from the train upon reaching the Masjid Jamek station.

According to a Rapid KL staff, the train bound for Kelana Jaya suffered technical issue due to the instabil power line. She also said that the problem has been solved within two minutes.

At the press time, Rapid KL has not released any official statement pertaining to the technical glitch.

Rapid KL’s LRT has been suffering from considerable amount of technical glitch of late. On July 10, 2010, the services for Kelana Jaya to Ampang has been suspended for two hours starting at 5.45pm.
