Melaka Explorace 2024 to boost local economy

The Melaka Explorace 2024, a treasure hunt organised by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), has been included in the Visit Melaka 2024 (TMM2024) calendar.

The treasure hunt promises a one-day event with a significant positive impact on the local economy.

State support and economic impact

Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy Abdul Halem, chairman of the State Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Communications Committee, expressed his belief in the event’s economic potential.

“We expect it to be a one-day programme that will have a significant impact on the economy of the surrounding areas involved,” he stated.

This confidence is echoed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh’s commitment to the event, as evidenced by its inclusion in TMM2024.

Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy further emphasised the state government’s support by saying, “The state government supports this programme.”

Explorace with diverse participation

Bernama Chief Executive Officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin revealed details about the competition format.

“There will be three categories for the treasure hunt, involving the public, media practitioners and Melaka government agencies,” she explained.

Participants will embark on a journey of exploration through Melaka, utilizing various modes of transportation including vehicles, trishaws, and even exploring on foot as they search for answers and hidden treasures.

The Melaka Explorace 2024 serves as a collaborative effort between Bernama and the state government, highlighting their commitment to leveraging events like TMM2024 for economic revitalization.

The presence of key figures like Bernama Editor-in-Chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj and Deputy Editor-in-Chief (News Services) Nasriah Darus further underscores the event’s potential for success.
