The police are looking for four cousins to assist investigations into the death of a mechanic during a fight at Tasek
Mutiara, last Monday.
South Seberang Perai district police chief Supt Shafien Mamat identified them as brothers, V.Veeran, 29, and V.Yogarajan, 27, from Kampung Baru, Bukit Mertajam, and their cousins, S.Sasitharan, 18, from Taman Enggan Indah, and S.Kalaimohan, 20, from Bandar Tasek Mutiara .
Police believed the four men were involved in the fight in which S.Vijinran, 24, was killed, he told a media conference today.
He said police had detained three men, all in their 20s, and they were now in remand until June 11 to facilitate investigation into the case.
He urged those with information on the four men or their whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
In another development, Shafien said three men, aged between 25 and 30, had been detained to assist police investigation into last month’s robbery at a car workshop at Jalan Changkat.
The suspects were detained at separate locations in Nibong Tebal and Parit Buntar, Perak, last Tuesday, he added.
