The Sentosa state constituency is organising the 2023 Sentosa Fun Walk Clean and Green event on May 14 at Tasik Bandar Botanik. The event aims to attract up to 500 participants and is open to people of all ages.
The state assemblyperson for Sentosa, Dr G Gunaraj said that the programme seeks to educate the public on the importance of caring for one’s health and the environment, as well as testing their minds with a number of quizzes prepared at each checkpoint.
Registration for the event ends on May 12, and early participants will receive a t-shirt. Those who are unable to register online can still participate on Sunday but will not receive a t-shirt.
The assemblyman encourages members of the public, especially Sentosa residents, to bring their families and friends to join the activity this weekend as there are many exciting prizes waiting for them.
The programme will feature a variety of exciting activities, including Zumba, tree planting, basketball, and registration counters for Iltizam Selangor Penyayang and Skim Mesra Usia Emas. Visitors are also encouraged to bring worn items that can be recycled, with those managing to collect three kilogrammes standing a chance to participate in a lucky draw.
The Fun Walk will start at 7 am, and participants will get to enjoy the beautiful scenery around Tasik Bandar Botanik while engaging in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and environmental awareness. Along the way, there will be checkpoints where participants can take part in quizzes and learn more about the environment.
Dr G Gunaraj emphasised that the event seeks to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of one’s health and the environment. Through this event, he hopes to encourage the public to adopt healthy habits and become more environmentally conscious.
The Sentosa Fun Walk 2023 promises to be a fun-filled and informative event for participants of all ages. The event is a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends while engaging in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and environmental awareness.
