GFNY, a global endurance sports brand, is excited to announce its second race in Malaysia: GFNY Kota Kinabalu, kicking of on December 10, 2023.
This challenging 130.2km cycling event offers riders breathtaking scenery and a competitive course, perfect for cyclists of all levels.
GFNY Kota Kinabalu is GFNY´s 6th race in Asia in 2023.
GFNY stands for Gran Fondo New York. “Gran Fondo” is the Italian term for “big challenge” and stems from skiing, swimming and cycling endurance races that started in the 1950s.
GFNY a unique race experience
GFNY Kota Kinabalu will take place on December 10, 2023, starting and finishing at the iconic Menara Tun Mustapha.
The race course winds along the coast of Likas Bay, offering stunning views of the South China Sea. Riders will then tackle the challenging climbs of Jalan Kolam Minintod, testing their endurance and skills.
The proposed GFNY Kota Kinabalu will feature the Long Route (135.3km) and Medium Route (69.3km) categories where cyclists will ride from the city centre to various districts nearby.
The GFNY experience extends beyond the race itself. Race week activities will be held at Menara Tun Mustapha, providing opportunities for participants to meet fellow cyclists and enjoy the local culture.
