IJM Rimbayu has earned global recognition as Robin, its flagship residential precinct, claimed the World Silver prize in the Residential Low-Rise category at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2026.
The honour places Robin among the world’s most distinguished residential developments — assessed across design quality, delivery discipline, and liveability.
The win follows Robin’s earlier FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2025 in the Housing Residential Landed category. Moreover, it brings that national recognition onto the world stage, affirming the precinct’s standing beyond Malaysia.
What Robin @ IJM Rimbayu actually is

Robin sits within the Fauna Precinct of IJM Rimbayu, a 1,879-acre township in Shah Alam, Selangor. The precinct comprises 615 two-storey link homes across four phases on 47.83 acres, with 8.63 acres dedicated entirely to green and recreational spaces.
The development targets first-time buyers, apartment upgraders, and multi-generational households. Built-up sizes range from 1,535 sq ft to 2,009 sq ft, with open-plan layouts, natural ventilation, and high-speed broadband readiness built into every unit. Furthermore, the precinct takes its name from the robin bird — associated with liveliness and optimism — and that spirit runs through its design philosophy.
At the heart of Robin’s appeal is a 0.6-acre organic orchard — a first-of-its-kind initiative within a Malaysian residential precinct. The green network extends to a tropical community farm, woodland, camping and picnic grounds, a bird-nest-themed playground, multipurpose courts, a kite-flying field, and a 2.5km jogging and cycling loop. Together, these elements form a green infrastructure that also functions as a social and wellness space for residents.
Datuk Chai Kian Soon, Chief Operating Officer of IJM Land, said the award reflects the care invested in every layer of the precinct. “This achievement reflects the care that went into the precinct, from its parkland-inspired planning and landscape to the quality of delivery, and our belief that a well-designed neighbourhood can enrich everyday life in lasting ways.”
Strong numbers behind the recognition

The FIABCI win carries weight because the delivery record behind it is measurable and verified.
At launch, 308 units from the first two phases — with a combined GDV of RM241 million — sold out in 28 minutes. Subsequently, all 615 units across the full development were sold.
By March 2025, occupancy had reached 80 per cent, and all four phases obtained their Certificate of Completion and Compliance in December 2023.
Quality scores further reinforce the recognition. Robin achieved GreenRE Bronze certification and recorded QLASSIC scores of 82 per cent and 83 per cent across its phases — both above industry norms.
Additionally, the precinct traces its planning DNA directly to IJM Rimbayu’s Gold-winning 2017 master plan, carrying forward the township’s design continuity into a new generation of homes.
IJM Rimbayu today — A township in its next chapter

Robin’s global honour arrives as IJM Rimbayu itself enters a more mature phase. The township now has over 5,000 homes and 323 shop offices completed, supported by a growing ecosystem of residential, commercial, recreational, and educational components.
Anchors such as The ARC, The Club, Linear Park, Oasis International School, and Lotus’s Rimbayu give the township genuine daily utility. Meanwhile, newer launches including Roam, Anthea, and District 28 signal continued momentum.
As a result, IJM Rimbayu is no longer defined by future potential alone. It is a functioning, maturing township — read through what is already built, occupied, and in use.
Datuk Chai added, “IJM Rimbayu has evolved with real depth and substance over the years. Today, it is a far more complete township, supported by a stronger residential base, education, lifestyle offerings, commercial activity and green public spaces that make everyday life easier and richer.”
