Photo blog: KL celebrates 38th FT Day with grand parade

This year the colourful and vibrant parade brought the whole of Kuala Lumpur together in exciting ways.

A grand parade was held at Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur on 28th January to mark the 38th Federal Territory Day. Kuala Lumpur was made into Federal Territory (FT) on 1st of February 1974.

Prime Minster Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak launched the 2012 FT Day celebrations for Kuala Lumpur in a colourful ceremony befitting the occasion.

This year the colourful and vibrant parade brought the whole of Kuala Lumpur together in exciting ways that featured more than 90 contingents of some 8,000 cheering participants, young and old in festive mood.
